Give today!

The Joy of Giving Week Smile Deck has 52 simple "giving ideas", 1 on each playing card. Each suit represents giving to a specific group-

- Clubs- for people you know

- Spades- for our world/environment

- Hearts- for strangers

- Diamonds- for yourself, to help become a better person

Simple reshuffle the deck each day, and do whatever "giving act" is randomly selected for you!

You can play this game as a family, too!

Smile Decks were first created by a group of Helpothers.org volunteers, as a humble coffee table experiment- the belief was that each act of kindness, no matter how small, changes the world. JGW volunteers worked with Helpothers.org volunteers to create an Indian version of the Smile Deck so that it could be launched during the Week here, and used to encourage people to do little acts of kindness.

Maitri From LD College of Engineering -

She gave a bottle of Mazaa to the Rickshaw Driver as he was driving rickshaw in heat.

She also told him what is Joy of Giving Week and The Rickshaw himself promised to do something for others during this week

J of Clubs! Translate an inspiring story & share it with your colleagues. Published on the Company FB wall the Book Summary of Dream Chasing (One man's remarkable, True Life story)- Must Read
This is an inspiring story of an ordinary Indian in rural India,of his courage, determination, faith and the will to dream big and fulfill those dreams in the face of adversity.
Shiva Balak walked 24 km to and back from his school each day, only to be left wondering why there were no schools in his own village.
The brilliant student struggled through extreme hardships, achieved laurels by winning a scholarship to fund his PG in Geology in Canada.
S.B. Misra became a star in the scientific community for his discovery of 565-mn-yr-old fossils; the oldest records of multicellular life on earth. However, he pondered over the long walk to school each day, which thousands of children were still making in his rural backyard. Abandoning a promising world of fame and recognition, he returned to India to realize his dream — a dream of education for young children in his village.

3 of diamonds!  15 minutes of silence and communion with my self. Remembered my trek to Mt Kailas and Manasarovar. At peace with the world.
